Our Practice
Hematology Oncology Associates, PC was established in 2000 by Drs. Richard Karchmer, Charles Dibb, Gerald Ahmann, and Susan Kohler (all now retired). Since that time, we have grown to 22 providers in two locations, providing medical oncology and hematology services to a service area of approximately 400,000 residents.
One of the most important decisions we make is who joins our practice. Hematology Oncology Associates frequently needs qualified professionals for a variety of medical and office positions. We are proud of our standard of practice, our very high employee and provider retention rate, and our commitment to outstanding patient care.
We’re in this together.
At Hematology Oncology Associates, we recognize that each patient who steps through our doors may be facing one of the most difficult times of their lives. Our mission is to support our patients and their families through the challenges ahead. We value excellence, respect, honesty, service, and teamwork—these principles guide us as we care for each person we encounter at our practice.
We believe in the importance of staying up-to-date with the most recent clinical trials. That’s why we work directly with the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to provide patients with access to the latest clinical trials.
If you’re passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you!
Equity Statement
Hematology Oncology Associates is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to hire and advance the careers of everyone on our team—including women, minorities, veterans, and qualified individuals with disabilities.
